Why I Finally Switched to Remote Care: A Lesson in Consistency

I wanted to share a quick update for anyone struggling to balance their mental health with a hectic schedule. For the longest time, I put off seeking support because the idea of driving across town for an appointment felt like just another chore on my to-do list.

I recently started looking into online virtual therapy in California through Hope Matters Institute, and it has been a complete shift in how I view my self-care. It’s so much easier to stay consistent when you can log in from your own living room.

During one of our initial talks, Yoana said that the environment you’re in during a session actually plays a huge role in how quickly you can relax and get to the "real" work. It turns out, being in a space where I already feel safe makes a world of difference.

The team there really lives by the motto that hope matters it starts with us. It doesn't feel like a cold, clinical transaction; it feels like a partnership where they are just as invested in my progress as I am. If you’ve been on the fence about remote care, I highly recommend giving it a shot.
